Crossover dance music icon Example announces his 8th studio album “We May Grow Old  But We Never Grow Up” alongside collaborative single DEEP produced by Bou and featuring Nonô.

With the album set for release on 17th June via BMG, it follows Example’s recent return to the UK where he sold over 25,000 tickets across his 14 date headline tour continuing his legacy whilst attracting new fans both young and old, adding to his ever growing loyal following cultivated throughout his prestigious career.

During the extensive jaunt across the country Example connected with one of the hottest D&B producers of the moment, Bou. Fresh off the back of his breakout single Streetside with Bru-C, multiple Beatport #1’s and BBC Radio 1 support, Bou headed to Example’s sold out Academy show where they formed an instant bond, and a collaboration began to take shape.

Meanwhile Nonô, self-described as “made in Brazil and shipped to London”, was one of the supporting acts on Example’s UK tour, marking the perfect addition to DEEP with her flawless vocals and effervescent energy that has seen her work alongside Alok, Eden Prince and Parx. NME added her to the NME 100,  a list of essential new artists set to take over 2022.

Example shares, “When I met Bou backstage after the show, he expressed how inspired he was and we made an immediate connection. Then he went home and made the beat to what became DEEP. Nonõ is like my little sis, we share some incredible artistic moments and with her melody I wrote the words and the whole thing just fell into place. It was the best feeling, just perfect as a vibe and as an artistic mix.”

Maintaining years of momentum with chart topping singles, career defining festival sets, sold out tours and multiple platinum records, Example’s 8th album We May Grow Old But We Never Grow Up, is set to embody his youthful nature whilst pushing a fresh range of rising talent across pop and dance spectrums.

“My family really keeps my passion burning, I’m also still quite competitive, I feel like now though I’m enjoying competing with myself. I have to stay fit and healthy between festival runs and ensure I have the correct recovery time and treatment after each show. It’s amazing to have a huge fan base after so long so that keeps me going too!”

With unique foundations in place, the bulk of the project came to life in Australia with songwriter Brook Toia (Eves Karydas, Chris Kläfford) PKA Penny Ivy and highly regarded producer James Angus (Tkay Maidza, Last Dinosaurs, The Veronicas). Set to pay homage to Example’s roots that initially catapulted him on the scene, whilst crossing boundaries with fresh genre fusions, he demonstrates a musician who is in complete control of their craft:

“It’s the best album I’ve ever made. Hands down. Garage. Grime. DnB. House. Techno. Drill. Yes, DRILL!! Even a mad stadium rock song on there. It all flows nicely. The best singing I’ve ever done. The best rapping I’ve ever done. I’m excited for everyone to hear it.” – EXAMPLE

As an iconic figure, loving father, husband and artist, Example is the front man of multiple generations. Proving his fire is burning brighter than ever with an ability to bridge the gaps between electronic, rap and pop, he performs to his fan’s night in and night out. Marking a highly anticipated return, DEEP is the curtain raiser to Example’s finest chapter yet… and this book is far from finished.
