Ed Sheeran has announced today that production holds for every night on the long sold-out British stadium tour will go on sale this Friday May 11th at 10am – see official ticket vendors below. Production holds will be released for every date of Ed’s forthcoming Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle, London and Cardiff shows.
Ed’s stadium shows went on sale in July 2017 and sold out straight away with over 1 million tickets sold in the UK alone!
The promoters and Ed Sheeran’s team worked closely together in advance of the on-sale date to put in place measures designed to protect fans from profiteering companies. This was declared to have been very effective with the vast majority of fans following the advice to only purchase tickets from official outlets. Additionally, most profiteering companies heeded the promoters’ warnings not to trade and resell tickets that would instantly be cancelled.
On this tour, any tickets that are resold will not be valid unless they are bought and sold through Ed’s official resale partner, Twickets, which allows fan to fan sales at face value + booking fee only – this means no profit to touts and no one getting ripped off.
Any fans who may have bought tickets from a secondary site that isn’t Twickets should read Claire Turnham’s guide for dealing with them: http://fanfairalliance.org/think-youve-ripped-off-claire-turnhams-self-help-guide-dealing-secondary-ticketing-platforms/
