Dexys are back! Following the commercial and critical acclaim of The Feminine Divine, their first album of new material in 11 years, Dexys return with ‘The Feminine Divine + Dexys Classics: Live!’ (out 24th May on 100% Records), as well as summer tour dates including an eagerly anticipated appearance at Glastonbury.
The Feminine Divine’s success is followed by today’s announcement of a live album featuring a full performance of the studio album alongside plenty of Dexys classics including the iconic hit singles Come On Eileen, Geno and Jackie Wilson Said (I’m In Heaven When You Smile)
Recorded across the band’s successful 2023 tour, the album showcases Dexys at their uncompromising best, with the first half of the set being a full theatrical performance of The Feminine Divine in 3 acts. The second half of the set (entitled The Concert) takes in a career-spanning retrospective of Dexys over the years, including many fan-favourite songs being played live for the first time in decades.
With over a billion worldwide streams, three top 10 albums in the UK, two number 1 singles, a Brit Award and a multi-platinum selling album with their sophomore release Too-Rye-Ay (as Dexys Midnight Runners), Dexys are as vital and exciting today as ever. With this new live album, The Feminine Divine continues to write a chapter in a book that just keeps getting better and better.
“I’ve been doing this a long time,” says Kevin. “But I feel I’ve got to it now.”
