COUNTERFEIT. have just revealed their brand new music video for latest single It Gets Better, which was directed by Phillip Lopez (James Arthur, Cold War Kids and more). The video sees the five-piece embrace a roomful of passionate and dedicated fans who were invited by the band via social media, and sing along to the track together. Of the video, frontman Jamie Bower has said“The video and the song are about healing, connection, community, humanity and spirit. We are lucky enough to have a fan base that feels like a family so wanted to bring the sense of community that we feel to a larger audience.” The track has already surpassed 500k streams across platforms, and has been going down a storm during the band’s live show.

Following a raucous and energetic return to the stage at a packed-out headline show at London’s Garage and a debut performance at Reading & Leeds on the Main Stage last month, COUNTERFEIT. are back with their unifying protest song, It Gets Better. The track opens with frontman Jamie Bower’s captivating spoken-word which commands attention, building up to the anthemic chorus. The single is being released via COUNTERFEIT.’s brand new label home, Lava Records U.S/Virgin EMI UK. Of the brand new single, Bower has said, “It Gets Better is a deeply personal song and its message cuts right to the heart of who we are.

Our goal is to bring people together, to dismantle the barriers that divide us as a species and to make a change in the world. We are in a time of need. We need to come together and to learn to love again. Learn to listen again. Learn to talk again. Learn to feel again. Learn to let go and let in. It’s a small start but if we try, I do believe that we can start to change things because I myself have learnt that with these small steps it does indeed get better.” Listen here.

COUNTERFEIT. have also announced a UK/European headline tour, which starts on 25th October in Rome. They will hit cities such as Milan, Vienna, Paris and more before playing London’s Scala on 2nd December, and continuing on the UK leg of the tour. The band have just wrapped a mini tour in August, which they kicked off the first of several sold out shows in Hamburg. Making their way around cities such as Amsterdam, Berlin and more they ended the tour at the Garage in London. Shortly after, the band opened the Main Stage at the historic Reading & Leeds Festival. Showing no signs of slowing down, COUNTERFEIT. are about to embark on a North America headline tour, where they will play venues in Toronto, Brooklyn, Nashville, LA and more. See full details here.

Having holed themselves up in Northampton for 6 months last year, the band rented a house together so they could hone in on writing their follow-up to debut album, Together We Are Stronger. It Gets Better is the first song to be released leading up to a full release in 2020, and the beginning of what’s to come from the 5-piece.
