Charlotte Sands’ recent single ‘Alright’ started 2023 with a bang for the next wave emo/pop crossover talent. The track landed on the Radio 1 airwaves with a first play from Nels Hylton on his Future Alternative show, and it proved to be a highlight of her incendiary sets as she toured Europe as guest to PVRIS – including a major London show at the Eventim Apollo.

Now Charlotte continues to live up to the growing attention that she’s attracting as she shares her new single ‘Six Feet Under’. Once again authentically blurring her two key genre references, ‘Six Feet Under’ bounds with an impassioned melodic punk bounce while Charlotte’s soaring, future star vocal powers a hook that’s instantly unforgettable. While ‘Six Feet Under’ is immediately invigorating, its lyrics come from a more conflicted place: an internal battlefield in which crushing self-doubt threatens to derail the most promising of moments. And who hasn’t felt that in some way? LISTEN HERE.

Charlotte says, “‘Six Feet Under’ is a song about having the impulse to sabotage your own life whenever it feels comfortable and the addictiveness of having highs and lows instead of balance and stability. It’s for anyone that finds themself having self destructive tendencies and constantly struggles with embracing solidity. I hope you love this song and I hope it brings you some kind of peace knowing you are not the only person who feels more at ease when surrounded by chaos.”

Charlotte wrote the song with Megan Redmond and its producer Danen Reed Rector.

The genre-blurring sound that Charlotte Sands captures is a simple representation of her varied passions: there are times when she might be drawn to the empowerment  conveyed by Katy Perry or P!nk, but also others where the melodic rush of Paramoreor the cathartic intensity of Bring Me The Horizon speaks to her. It’s a mix that gives her music the freedom to cover a vast range of the sonic spectrum, as well as an eclectic array of collaborators or touring partners who have included My Chemical Romance, YUNGBLUD, Charlie Puth, Taking Back Sunday, Ava Max and Sleeping With Sirens.
