Carlie Hanson releases ‘Daze Inn’ her first release of 2020
“‘Daze Inn’ was inspired by a spontaneous few days I spent holed up with my former lover, just escaping reality for a weekend,” said Hanson. “It’s filled with euphoria and nostalgia and everything we did together in our little hideaway.”
The accompanying video, directed by Serena Reynolds, brings the track to life by exploring the concept of trying to spend some down time together during a new relationship.
Named as a VEVO DSCVR artist, Carlie released her debut EP ‘Junk’ in June 2019 and finished the year with an infectious single ‘Side Effects’ in November. The track quickly amassed 8.6 million global streams and was added to top streaming playlists as she reached a total of 67 million streams. She called the release of ‘Side Effects’ the beginning of a new era – one that continues ‘Daze Inn’.
2019 also saw Carlie complete her debut UK and European tour opening for YUNGBLUD.

In September 2018, Hanson began touring with Troye Sivan and Kim Petras on Sivan’s Bloom Tour, playing at venues including Radio City Music Hall in New York and the Greek Theater in Los Angeles. In January 2019, Hanson supported Yungblud on a series of shows in Europe. She then signed with Warner Bros. Records in February 2019,band Primary Wave Music in March 2019. On April 26, 2019, Hanson released “Back in my Arms”.The song was later announced to be the lead single from her debut EP, Junk.On May 24, 2019, she released “WYA”, the second single from Junk. Later that day, Taylor Swift added another of Hanson’s songs, “Back in My Arms”, to her Apple Music playlist. The EP, consisting of five songs, was released on June 7, 2019. In September 2019, she embarked on The WYA Tour across Europe and the United Kingdom.
