BRITs Week Presented by Mastercard For War Child has announced that the Craig David Presents TS5 show, originally due to take place on February 17th at Under The Bridge, London, is forced to be rescheduled due to Craig David contracting Covid-19. The rescheduled show will now take place on March 10th at the same venue. All existing tickets will rollover and be valid for the new date.
In a statement on Craig David’s social media, he says “I’m so sorry, but I woke up feeling a touch funky this morning so I did some tests and unfortunately tested positive for Covid. I’m feeling ok and just taking it easy in isolation. Apologies to anyone coming to my BRITs War Child show this coming Thursday, it has been rescheduled and will now happen on Thursday 10th March… I hope you can all still make it!”
The BRITs Week Presented by Mastercard For War Child series will continue this week with an intimate show from the legendary artist Damon Albarn. The Blur frontman and Gorillaz mastermind is set to perform Britpop classics alongside tracks from his critically acclaimed 2021 album The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows at London’s Troxy this Sunday, February 20th. The show will follow incredible performances throughout February from Anne-Marie, Joy Crookes, Bastille, Becky Hill, Maisie Peters, Fontaines D.C. and Mimi Webb.
BRITs Week Presented by Mastercard For War Child gives fans the opportunity to see the biggest names in music in intimate venues across London – all whilst raising money for children whose lives have been torn apart by war. BRITs Week is produced by AEG Presents, UK record labels association the BPI, and War Child, the charity for children affected by conflict. The event series is sponsored for the first time by Mastercard, headline sponsor of The BRIT Awards.
Proceeds from the shows will help to support War Child’s work that aims to reach children as early as possible when conflict breaks out and stay to support them through their recovery – keeping them safe, helping them learn and cope with their experiences, and equipping them with skills for the future.
