BENJAMIN FRANCIS LEFTWICH has announced he will embark on his headline UK tour in April 2024 performing eight dates beginning at Leeds Brudenell Social Club. To celebrate the tour announcement, Benjamin has also released his new single MOON LANDING HOAX, taken from the forthcoming new album SOME THINGS BREAK to be released on 9 February 2024 via Dirty Hit.

The live video for Moon Landing Hoax stars Jamie Squire from The 1975 performing live alongside Benjamin.

Talking about the new single, Benjamin says: “To me this song is about healing, sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly, and about all the mad shit one an get up to or into on that winding road. I’m so excited to be back on the road next year and to play many new and old songs live again.”

Acclaimed for his live shows and their intimate, honest atmosphere, Benjamin Francis Leftwich has always given his material a fresh perspective when adapting them for the stage. As well as older fan favourites, he will also be performing songs from the new Some Things Break album.

The album consists of ten brand new tracks, all written and performed by Leftwich and follows his previous album To Carry A Whale, released in 2021. It sees a subtle reinvention in Benjamin Francis Leftwich’s sound and the honesty laid bare in the album’s lyrics. Of this new direction, Leftwich says:

“It feels like a new voice, in a way. I guess a more human and perhaps a more surrendered voice. Learning to hold onto certain things and let go of others, with as much grace as possible … I feel like I’m hiding less on this record. Ultimately I think it’s a record about a kind of slow acceptance that some things break and, for me, sometimes that necessary for healing.”
