Following an emotional weekend headlining not one but two of the UK’s major festivals– Standon Calling and Latitude, today Bastille release an exclusive live video for euphoric new single Distorted Light Beam. The performance features a never-before-seen new live set-up recorded earlier this month at Future Inc HQ.
Dancefloor-friendly and as electronic as Bastille have ever been, Distorted Light Beam is a metallic rush of retro-futuristic pop and marks a new chapter for the multi-platinum selling band, one that revolutionises the Bastille sound, and is the first release from the band’s forthcoming fourth studio album due out later this year!
Performing Reorchestrated headline sets across the weekend, the band were joined on stage by Brit Rising Star, Griff for singles Happier and Of the Night – NME described the band’s Latitude set as ‘Exhilarating’ adding, ‘The band have become masters at dancing through the world’s darkness; it feels more than fitting that they should be the ones ushering us out of this period of separation from live music!’’
Bastille play two further ReOrchestrated shows this summer at Hampton Court Palace on 17th and 18th August and perform at London’s SSE Arena, Wembley for the Olympics Team GB Homecoming Event on the 15th August televised on BBC 1.
