Online sensation Abby Roberts has today released dream-pop track ‘bandaid’ – LISTEN HERE. Written by Abby with Noah Terefe (produced by Noah Terefe, mixed by Matias Tellez), the song was written as a comfort for anyone struggling with their mental health, inspired by a friend of Abby’s. The new single also comes with an official music video. Directed by Mr Anderson in London, the video gives us a peep into an intimate performance from Abby and her band – WATCH HERE.
Of the track, Abby says: “’bandaid’ is a really special song to me, i wrote it for one of my best friends who was really struggling with her mental health and i felt awful because i couldn’t always be there in person to support her in person, so i made bandaid as a way to let her know i am always thinking of her and she always has me with her in some small way. i hope anyone listening to this song who may also be struggling with their mental health can feel the same comfort that you’re not alone and you are loved.”
‘Bandaid’ follows the release of last month’s ‘Pink Champagne’ – the twisted love song which had already been used over 50K times on TikTok before release – and debut single ‘Paramaniac’, which has been streamed nearly 600,000 times on Spotify alone. With a huge summer on the horizon, Abby has recently announced appearances at flagship UK festivals. Alongside the best emerging artists from all over the world, she’ll be hitting the stage at Brighton’s pivotal Great Escape Festival in May, as well as appearing at London’s Community Festival in July and Reading & Leeds Festivals in August. Abby will also be heading stateside to support Halsey across a string of shows on their ‘Love and Power’ tour in North America this summer, alongside the likes of Beabadoobee, Pinkpantheress
