2024’s The Voice UK winner, Ava, releases her highly anticipated duet with coaches Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones, one half of the British rock/pop band McFly. Releasing their cover of Hoobastank’s ‘The Reason’, stream here.

On Saturday 26th October, 2024, Ava was crowned the winner of this year’s The Voice. Hailing from Bristol, Ava’s unconventional rise to stardom is an extraordinary one, having never had vocal training before appearing on the ITV show, she blew the coaches and public away with her distinct vocals and knockout performances.

Just last week Ava released her winner’s single – a beautiful cover of The Beatles’ song ‘The Long and Winding Road’, which has reached the number 3 position on The Big Top 40 Chart. Stream here.

Along with McFly, Ava puts her own mark on Hoobastank’s ‘The Reason’. With acapella riffs and melting harmonies, the cover puts a soft and delicate spin on the original rock song.

Ava’s duet with Tom and Danny marks a groundbreaking first for The Voice UK, as it’s the first time this has ever happened. Reflecting on Ava’s journey, Danny Jones/Tom Fletcher shared that, ”Throughout the show we watched Ava grow and develop to become the amazing artist she is now. We were privileged to witness her journey firsthand and for us to have a track out together is the icing on the cake. Exciting times lie ahead.”

Ava also commented on performing with Danny and Tom, saying “I can’t quite explain that feeling stood up there on the stage with them lads, they are one of a kind. I learned so much from them which helped me grow throughout the competition but one thing they made sure of is that I stayed true to myself no matter what, so I did and we bossed it! A memory I’ll always cherish.”

After stunning the coaches and fans alike with her live prowess, she is certainly one to watch with much more to come from Ava in the new year.
