Internationally acclaimed Norwegian artist AURORA, known for her ethereal vocals and emotionally powerful songwriting, is re-releasing her poignant track “Through the Eyes of a Child”, available on all major streaming platforms via Decca Records. Listen here.

Originally featured on her debut album “All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend”, the song has found new life nearly a decade after its original release in 2016 —thanks to a powerful closing scene in Netflix’s breakout series Adolescence.

The song has gone viral after appearing in a key emotional moment in Adolescence, where it invites viewers to consider how the inner world of the show’s 13-year-old protagonist ‘Jamie’, might be reflective of something bigger happening off-screen, in the real world. Fittingly, AURORA wrote “Through the Eyes of a Child” when she was just 13 herself, the same age as the main character—imbuing the track with a raw, youthful honesty that resonates deeply with people. Due to overwhelming fan demand and its renewed cultural relevance, AURORA is returning the track to a new generation of listeners.

AURORA comments, “It’s a strange and wonderful thing to see people connecting with this song. The world around me has changed so much since I wrote it. And now the words mean a lot more to me. The deep need for the world to stop neglecting the inner child, and confusing innocence with weakness. I hope the song gives people something good. It was always written in the hope that it would find people and treat them kindly. Though it’s strange to me, that it’s out there living its own life- I find it very beautiful”

On social media, the director of Adolescence Philip Barantini expressed, “It was the one thing I would listen to when we were making the show, I knew very early on that I needed to use it at the end! It’s so haunting and powerful.”

In response to overwhelming demand, AURORA will perform six extra arena shows in the UK & Europe leg of her world tour. She will headline her sold-out show to date at the iconic OVO Arena Wembley on May 3rd, 2025, in London with Wembley. Additional dates include:

3rd May – London UK, OVO Arena, Wembley *SOLD OUT*
