Astrid S releases her brand new track ‘The First One’ via Virgin EMI Records / Universal Music Norway. It is taken from her forthcoming EP out this summer.
For ‘The First One’, Astrid S teamed up with a host of globally-renowned collaborators including Jason Gill (Bebe Rexha, Zara Larsson), Justin Tranter (Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga) and Amy Allen (Selena Gomez, Shawn Mendes). Reminiscent of Astrid’s break-out debut track ‘Hurts So Good’ – which has amassed over 200 million streams on Spotify alone – ‘The First One’ is an honest and emotional reflection on the damaging effects a first love can have on following relationships.
Astrid S released Charli XCX co-written pop hit ‘Someone New’ to critical acclaim, with The Guardian deeming it as a ‘post-tropical What Not to Do list for when you break up with someone’ and Popjustice claiming it ‘bangs like an absolute beast’. After releasing her 2018 single ‘Emotion’, which quickly amassed over 20 million streams, she joined Years & Years on their arena tour, culminating in a performance at London’s O2 Arena. Recently Astrid S fronted Fendi’s new F is for Fendi campaign and completed a tour across the US with fellow Scandinavian star Zara Larsson. Today she will join 16 year old climate change activist Greta Thunberg, whose currently on the cover of TIME magazine, for a Fridays For Future event, giving a special performance in Sweden.
