Today Astrid S today announces her ‘Stripped Down’ tour, which will see the pop star play a string of special shows across personal, hand-picked venues in the UK, Europe and the US. ‘Stripped Down’ will be Astrid’s most intimate tour to date – seeing her perform acoustically alongside a five piece band. Tickets are on sale this Friday 21st June 9AM BST.
Astrid S says:
‘I can finally announce that I’m going on tour this fall! I haven’t been on tour since 2017 so I’m very excited to go back to some of my favourite cities.
Since I got into music and songwriting when I was fifteen I would always write and perform with only a guitar or by the piano. For this tour I wanted to bring that to life by doing a ‘Stripped Down’ tour – it’s going to be very intimate so I can try my best to make people feel the same magical feeling I had when writing these songs.’
Astrid S also announces today the release date of her forthcoming EP ‘Trust Issues’, out 30th August. ‘Trust Issues’ will be her third EP to date – following her 2016 self-titled debut ‘Astrid S’, which contained global break-out hit ‘Hurts So Good’, amassing over 200 million streams worldwide. From there she went onto release her sophomore EP ‘Party’s Over’ that contained singles ‘Breathe’ and ‘Such A Boy’, and was followed by her biggest tour to date, which saw the pop star play shows across Europe, Australia, New Zealand and North America.
Earlier this year Astrid S released Charli XCX co-written pop hit ‘Someone New’ to widespread acclaim, fronted Fendi’s new F is for Fendi campaign, went on tour across the US with Zara Larsson and joined 16 year old climate change activist Greta Thunberg for her Fridays For Future event in Sweden, where she gave a special performance. Most recently Astrid S revealed the video for ‘The First One’, a track that she teamed up with globally-renowned collaborators Jason Gill (Bebe Rexha, Zara Larsson), Justin Tranter (Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga) and Amy Allen (Selena Gomez, Shawn Mendes) for.
