Rising pop artist Ashley Kutcher shares dreamy new single “Sleepy,” out today via Darkroom/Interscope Records. On the romantic acoustic track, the 23-year-old reveals that true love is her ultimate comfort: “All that I need is your warm embrace,” she croons, “Never have I felt so safe.” It’s the kind of soft, swaying song that embodies the comfortable feeling of falling in love.

“For the longest time I found it so hard to write a love song,” Kutcher explains of the track. “I believe I finally put into words what it feels like to be around the right person.” With “Sleepy” she portrays love in its quietest, most intimate moments. “I saved a spot for your head on my chest,” she gently trills over acoustic strums before a piano eagerly responds. Kutcher’s delivery is delicate yet commanding as her vocals build in layers as cozy as the scenes she paints.
Another showcase of Kutcher’s poignant songwriting, “Sleepy” follows a string of successes, including the gut-wrenching anthem “Emotionless,” fan favorite “Nothing’s All the Time,” and pop ballad “Love You More,” which has amassed over 5.3 million Spotify streams. After the release of her One Eighty debut EP last November — featuring the hit “Love You from a Distance” — Kutcher is ready to put out her next project, titled Survive My Own Mind, due out on October 21st.
In March, Kutcher performed her first-ever headlining shows to sold out crowds in Los Angeles and New York City, where she played the moving songs from One Eighty to enraptured crowds. Revisit One Eighty at all digital retailers HERE and stay tuned for more music coming soon.
