Following the announcement of her forthcoming new EP Look What You Made Me Do earlier this year, one of the UK’s brightest young talents Ashaine White is back with her new single ‘Not My Person‘. The track is the latest cut from Look What You Made Me Do, which comes May 22nd on 5dB Records. Listen to ‘Not My Person’ HERE.

A raw, guitar driven garage rocker ‘Not My Person’ is Ashaine at her very best – gritty, anthemic and doused in her signature soaring vocal tones. “‘Not My Person’ is a song about somebody I used to know who turned into somebody we used to hate together,” Ashaine says of the single. “It’s funny, especially in an industry like this one, how much shared values can be faked, or left behind as soon as a proverbial carrot is dangled. I haven’t seen them since, and this is what I’d say to them if I ever did.”

A sum greater than its individual parts, Look What You Made Me Do is produced by Gilberto Mallindine-Bettini and recorded at 5dB Studios with additional production from William Wormald on new single ‘Not My Person’. A rockier edge than her previous releases, the EP is drenched in distorted guitars and Ashaine’s distinctive vocals. Taking influence from a large gene pool of genres, the EP walks the line between early 90s guitar driven rock, the stunning vocal tones of soul music and all with a hint of infectious pop charm.

Ashaine also has a run of dates heading into summer, including a run of UK dates supporting Halfway Kid through May and a slot at this year’s The Great Escape Festival. More info HERE.
