It’s so rare that a rising artist is championed by big names from different eras, but after just one album Andrew Cushin has had Noel Gallagher, Pete Doherty, Sam Fender and Louis Tomlinson in his corner. It’s because Andrew offers something atypical: timeless songwriting with the potential to match those talents while speaking directly of the day-to-day experiences of his generation. That strength is set to be amplified with the release of his second record ‘Love Is For Everyone’ on May 2nd via LAB Records. He today previews the album with the new single ‘A Song For You’ and its official video. Listen HERE.

‘A Song For You’ is a beautifully unadorned love song with a message so universal that it could’ve been written in any generation. But this is no genteel ballad. Instead, it’s folk-pop played with a rock ‘n’ roller’s heart, with driving acoustic guitars bringing the energy as melancholic violins bring equal measures of melancholy and hope. What’s most undeniable is the power of Andrew’s voice, full of feeling as he sings, “I wrote this song for the strugglers, because god knows I’m struggling too.”

Noel Gallagher is one of the first people to have heard ‘Love Is For Everyone’ and he has hailed it as an “excellent album.” Noel has been a long-term champion of Andrew’s, having produced his early single ‘Where’s My Family Gone’ and invited him to support at several big shows. Andrew recently rediscovered a clip of Noel highlighting his talents.

The ‘Love Is For Everyone’ album is available to pre-order HERE. Andrew recently launched a stunning signed black-and-white vinyl Magpie Edition in honour of his hometown of Newcastle. All album bundles purchased from his official store also add an exclusive signed bonus CD.

Andrew Cushin will follow the release of ‘Love Is For Everyone’ with a UK headline tour, limited tickets for which are available HERE.
