Aida Garifullina is one of the world’s leading sopranos. It’s a status which has seen her heralded as a major talent by iconic figures such as Placido Domingo and Andrea Bocelli as well as lead to a succession of career accomplishments, including guest appearances at all of the world’s most renowned opera houses and the release of her self-titled debut album on Decca Records.
Having recently performed ‘Carmen’, ‘Flower Duet’ and ‘Barcarolle’ with classical crossover star HAUSER at the Royal Albert Hall, Aida Garifullina now has two more big moments to come this summer. She is already confirmed to be one of an array of guests at the special 50 Years of Placido Domingo event in Salzburg. Today brings news of another special occasion as she will perform at Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration in Tuscany, where she joins an all-star line-up led by the great tenor and featuring the likes of Ed Sheeran, Shania Twain, David Foster, Lang Lang, Laura Pausini and many more.
Aida says of her performance last night, “What a magical experience performing in front of such an incredible audience at one of the most beautiful venues in the world with Hauser”.
The summer will also see Aida tour the world with events spanning Seoul to Santander. She will return to London in September for a series of performances of ‘La Traviata’ at The Royal Opera House.
Her abilities have taken her from the operatic world into the mainstream, with memorable moments including a performance in the Oscar-nominated film ‘Florence Foster Jenkins’ with Meryl Streep and a performance alongside Robbie Williams at the opening ceremony of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
