After kicking off Pride month with the release of their new single “You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)” earlier this month, GRAMMY®-Nominated International Superstar Adam Lambert and London-Based DJ and Producer Sigala teamed up with MikeQ, 808 BEACH (John “J-C” Carr and Bill Coleman), and Husko to release three brand new remixes of their take on Sylvester’s iconic disco classic via BMG. Listen to the EP of remixes HERE which will keep the celebrations going all summer long.
“You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)” is a modernized tribute honouring Sylvester celebrating self, freedom and unity. Upon the single’s release, Billboard applauded the track saying, “…Lambert’s falsetto stylings fit perfectly with the song, nailing each note of the track, but never aiming to emulate the late star — rather, he honours his legacy with this dedicated cover” while Queerty shared “the trailblazing rockstar’s signature powerful vocals breathe new life into this disco banger, reflecting the essence of Pride itself: honouring those who came before us and fearlessly pushing forward toward the future.”
Ahead of Adam being the official headline act for PRIDE IN LONDON on 1st July and touring with Queen on their Rhapsody Tour, Lambert has had a busy few weeks from his TV debut of “You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)” on Good Morning America, performing “Holding Out For A Hero” from his latest solo album High Drama at iHeartRadio and P&G’s Can’t Cancel Pride where he was introduced by none other than Bonnie Tyler herself, and surprise appearances at two major Pride events in New York City – one at Planet Pride where he was introduced by pop sensation Kim Petras before putting on a spectacular, high-energy show, and one at Pride Island where he made headlines and fulfilled his childhood dreams by performing an electrifying surprise duet of “Lady Marmalade” with the iconic Christina Aguilera.
Of the legendary duet, Lambert shared: “Who knew that a friendly ‘have a great show’ text would turn into an invitation to perform with the iconic diva Xtina?! Like many of you know, I’ve been a stan for her since like…. ‘2000!!! I learned how to truly wail listening to her. Thank you Xtina for this surreal moment to celebrate NY Pride!!! I adore you!”
There’s much more on the horizon for Lambert as he will headline London Pride on July 1 and gears up to tour North American with Queen on their Rhapsody Tour after a four-year hiatus.
