Olly Murs performed an an exclusive global livestream ‘Best Night of Your Life’, live from Manchester’s AO Arena last night (Friday, 5th May). The performance was be his last on the ‘Marry Me’ tour before he ties the knot with fiancée Amelia Tank.
Olly’s 2022 was one of the year’s biggest success stories. ‘Die Of A Broken Heart‘ arrived as the first single, and from the opening notes, you can hear why. It’s an instant ear-worm, a one-listen-and-you’re-hooked pop-reggae outlier. Since then, his new music has taken on a life of its own, with huge radio support, various TV appearances, and even completing a 24 hour Treadmill Challenge with Scott Mills for Children In Need.
Olly’s previous six albums and subsequent sold- out tours have all been enormously successful. The stats speak for themselves: 6 multi-platinum albums, 4 #1 UK albums, 4 #1 UK singles, 6 million spotify monthly listeners, 800 million Youtube views & 1.8 million tour tickets sold.
Alongside his music career, in 2012 Olly Murs released his illustrated autobiography Happy Days. In it, he opened up about challenges with depression and anxiety that came with his sudden rise to fame. Since then, he’s worked closely with mental health charities like Brainwave and #IAMWHOLE, which presented the ground-breaking Music 4 Mental Health concert in 2018.
