Ella Eyre the singer/song writer from London is currently supporting The Script on their Freedom Child tour. Ella has the unenviable task of getting the crowd warmed up before the main act, a daunting task for anyone. Not so for this pretty petite lady who spent 35 mins dancing around the stage with a boundless amount of energy. She collaborated with Rudimental back in 2013 which saw her gain her first number one with them “Waiting all Night” from there she has had a string of hits, more recently working with Sigala on their single “Came Here for Love”.
During her set Ella performed some of her biggest hits to date as well as some of her newer songs LOV(E), Ego and Answer Phone which is due for release this month. It may have only been a short set but Ella has the ability to get the crowd going from the moment she gets on stage and had everyone joining in as well as teaching the crowd the lyrics to LOV(E). For someone so petite she has a voice that is positively huge and she knows how to work both the stage and the audience. Ella has a great stage presence and always seems to be a popular choice with the crowd. She managed with ease to set the tone for the evening with her upbeat hits which the crowd loved.
It wasn’t long before her set was sadly over and this Leeds crowd were left happy and excitedly waiting for their hero’s of the night The Script.
