Thought Bubble, the award-winning Yorkshire comic art convention have announced over thirty new guests for this year’s convention, with some of the industry’s most exciting creators, writers, illustrators, artists and publishers joining the previously announced guests and nearly six-hundred exhibitors in Harrogate this November.
The latest guest announcement for Thought Bubble 2024 is led by multi-Eisner Award winning comic book creator Christian Ward (Batman: City of Madness, Invisible Kingdom, Blood Stained Teeth), Eisner-winning writer and illustrator Chip Zdarsky (Sex Criminals, Daredevil, Spider-Man: Life Story); acclaimed artist and writer Elsa Charretier (November, Love Everlasting), as well as renowned writer and artist Jamie McKelvie (The Wicked + The Divine, Captain Marvel, Catwoman: One Bad Day) and American comic writer and one of the founding creators of innovative, creator-owned publishing initiative DSTLRY, Stephanie Phillips (Harley Quinn, Spider-Gwen, Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight).
Joining them will be GLAAD Media Award-winning comic artist Caspar Wijngaard (The Power Fantasy, Marvel Star Wars, Batman Detective), award-winning Greek comic book artist Dani (Tales from the Strips, Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, Arkham City: The Order of the World) and Irish artist and writer Declan Shalvey (Moon Knight, Thundercats, Alien, Batman)
They are joined on this announcement by Abigail J Harding, Al Davison, David Brothers, Emma Vieceli, George Manson, Greg Lockard, Hamish Steele, Ivana Filipovich, Jacob Phillips, Jamie McKelvie, Jens K Styve, John Allison, Juni Ba, Leo Fox, Lucy Sullivan, Luke Healy, Marcus To, Margaux Saltel, Nathan Stockman, Rachael Smith, Sarah Graley, Sean Phillips, Shazleen Khan, Sonia Leong, Tim Fish and Zara Slattery; a collection of incredible creators that are continuing to make waves across the world of comics.
As well as these new guests, Thought Bubble have just announced a new venue for their famed Mid-Con Party, with the convention taking over Harrogate’s MOJO bar on the Saturday of this year’s convention. Extending across all three storeys of the popular night time spot, Thought Bubble attendees will be able to make use of the venue’s gaming and chatting spaces, dance and hang-out on the beautiful Mojo roof terrace.

Last month Thought Bubble shared its line-up of nearly six-hundred comic creating exhibitors scheduled to attend this year’s comic convention. After working through a record number of applications, the team at Thought Bubble have handpicked 580 artists, writers, small-press publishers, & other creators; spanning a vast array of genres, disciplines & styles in order to bring their work to the thousands of fans at Thought Bubble in a huge celebration of comics and the people who make them.
Tickets for Thought Bubble Comic Convention are on sale now, with ticket options for families and students, while under 12s, carers and over 65s tickets remain totally free. Tickets give access to all events within the comic convention weekend; panels, workshops, guest signings, as well as the four huge halls of exhibitors. After achieving their best ever attendance at Harrogate in 2023, the team at Thought Bubble are anticipating a sell-out event in 2024 and encourage fans to get their tickets soon.
