Long Division Festival, DIY Magazine and Tileyard Education have come together to present ‘Multiply’ – an informal social and networking event to be held on the morning of Long Division Festival, Saturday 11th June. Taking place in the ASIC Building of Wakefield College, ‘Multiply’ will offer an opportunity for young people in Wakefield looking to build a career in the music industry to meet a group of leading professionals from a variety of roles within music.
Free to all, attendees will be able to book 15 minute sessions with visiting professionals in an open and friendly space while Long Division, Come Play With Me and members of the Wakefield Live Music Consortium will be holding open and informal group conversations about independent music and opportunities in Wakefield and West Yorkshire. Under 18’s who sign up will automatically receive a free ticket to the day’s Long Division Festival, with the event scheduled to finish in time for those attending to head straight to the LD’s many venues for a full day of live music.
The Multiply event is a great opportunity to meet the DIY Magazine team to discuss writing, photography, editing, promoting and ask other questions about life in the independent music industry. Long Division, Come Play With Me and Wakefield Live Music Consortium staff will be on-hand to discuss local opportunities while members of Tileyard Education will be available for questions about music education, the industry as a whole and even to hear your original music for advice and guidance.
