Leeds Festival is just a few weeks away, and we are excited as you are, so here is a brief insight to some of what will be happening.
Another 90+ names for what’s set to be the biggest party in #RandL21 history. We’re pleased to be able to reveal who’s playing on each stage, and bringing you a selection of some amazing artists from a broad selection of sounds. From bands to rappers, DJs to solo artists and much more, #RandL21 will have something for everyone.
New addition highlights to our Main Stages include: Sam Fender, Sea Girls, Slowthai, Machine Gun Kelly, Denzel Curry, Aitch, Wolf Alice, Becky Hill, Nothing But Thieves and more. In the true spirit of the Reading and Leeds ethos, expect an eclectic soundtrack across the Main Stage all weekend. If there’s one thing you can be certain of it will be performances that make your weekend!
Big fish, little fish, cardboard box… it’s time to cut some shapes. For those that like to party on into the night, to the sound of a 4×4 beat then R&L is shaping up to be quite the rave. The Radio 1 Dance Stage features a cross section of some of the scenes biggest global stars, to fresh upcoming talent. Expect a cross selection of sounds across the weekend that blend house, garage, drum n bass , bass music and much more. If you’ve got a thing for feeling the bass in your chest, and reaching for the lasers then the Radio1 tents going to be the one for you.
If you’re looking for the most unique artists playing #RandL21 then head over to the Festival Republic Stage on Leeds’ Opening Day! 070 Shake and many more will deliver the energy during the day until, girl in red hits the stage to deliver a breathtaking headline set!
For fans of heavier and more alternative music genres The Lock Up is the place to be on Saturday! The stage will see performances from WARGASM, Ashnikko, Boston Manor and many more, leading to a crushing headline set to by hardcore punk legends Gallows!
The Pit will keep you headbanging throughout Sunday with crushing performances from the likes of Canadian metalcore act Spiritbox and English punk icons Creeper with Fever 333 pulling double duty to headline the stage and bring Leeds festival to a close!
Highlights on the BBC Radio 1 XTRA stage include Digga D, OFB, Central Cee and Backgroad Gee who will be championing the drill sound at #RandL21. Ghetts will bring an unrivalled and explosive performance, riding high off an amazing album that dropped earlier this year, we’re expecting big things. Needing no introduction Tyga is set to headline the Sunday night at Leeds, with Jack Harlow, Ivorian Doll, Shaybo and many more making RandL debuts, this is the stage if you want to explore the best in rap, grime, hip hop, droll, R&B and everything that falls under the 1XTRA sound.
Please note: Charli XCX, 100 Gecs, DaBaby & Doja Cat will no longer perform at this year’s Reading & Leeds Festivals due to circumstances out of the artists’ control.
