The Clause – a four-piece indie band from Birmingham with limitless amounts of swagger and the seal of approval from Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell – have arrived and they released their stellar new single and video, Electric, a couple of weeks ago.
They bring together the swagger of the 60s, the rolling groove of the 80s and the riotous verve and attitude of the 90s. With epic singalongs destined for stadiums and festival main stages and darker, edgier moments evoking late nights in dingy back streets, The Clause would be at home on any www.
And who better to get the seal of approval from than Jane’s Addiction frontman and Lollapalooza festival creator Perry Farrell? He says: “When I talk to some musicians I can tell they’ve been touched by God, and The Clause – I think God really sunk his claws into them.”
With such high praise from a living legend so early on in their career, it’s clear that this is just the beginning for The Clause. With the release of the huge Electric, a high profile collaboration on the cards, more live dates and even more incredible music on the way, 2022 is going to be The Clause’s year. Don’t miss out.
The band, who consist of frontman Pearce Macca, drummer Niall Fennell, bassist Jonny Fyffe and guitarist Liam Deakin, met in school, and have matured into one of the UK’s most exciting new bands. Previous single In My Element has over a million streams on Spotify, and the band have just completed their first ever headline tour, complete with a sold out date for their hometown show in Birmingham. They have toured with the likes of The Pigeon Detectives, The Slow Readers Club, DMA’s and The Snuts over the past year, and have so much more on the horizon.
