‘1984’ may have been the name of a dystopian novel by George Orwell but it was also the year that Nik Kershaw was the UK’s biggest selling artist, languishing for some 62 weeks in the top 40 singles chart (no, really – 62 weeks – some singles overlapped) and releasing 2 platinum albums, ‘Human Racing’ and ‘The Riddle’.
On the 40th anniversary, Nik and his band take to the road to perform both albums in their entirety. Please note Nik will perform two sets there is no opening support act.
This will never happen again so you will not want to miss it.
Don’t miss this rare chance to see the man once described by Elton John as “the best songwriter of his generation”.
Recently, TotalNtertainment sat down with Nik for a chat. Over the course of the interview, Nik chatted to us about his memory of 1984 and what it was like being part of the golden years of UK pop, how the idea for the celebration tour came about, and some exciting plans for the future.
