Le Fil Takes Over The Pop Space With ‘Undercover Lover’
I first came across Le Fil recently having been sent the track by a friend. What a delivery he puts out here. It is a track which is relatable for anyone who is keeping a ley key relationship. The lyrics reflect the theme entirely making it not just an enjoyable but also a thought-provoking listen.
‘Undercover Lover’ is all about dance and good times. It is hard not to listen to this one and not feel positive. The beat is hot; the vocals confident, and the melody grips you in a tight glove. But, I still would like to see more of Le Fil reaching into his higher octaves. At times throughout the track, it feels as if the artist is holding himself back from going even higher into his vocal range. To hear a release which puts his entire vocal depth would be hugely refreshing.
Nevertheless, it is an all-round top track. Everything works well together in the mix, and each instrument harmonises the other. Le Fil makes being a pop star look easy. Although, he is still most likely feeling hugely confident after he was allowed to support Mel C on tour down under. Either that or is he genuinely just a go lucky chap.
A testament to his quality and proof of his ability, ‘Undercover Lover,’ is on the path to being one of the best pop tracks I have heard in recent times. I enjoy the fact that he is still on the up too, therefore if he does make it to the main stage of a major festival, I can say I wrote about him before the hype train took him to the masses.
Take a listen and get a whiff of his new single before it blows up in the pop scene. For more info head to www.lefil.co.uk
